In fresh juice, small particles like fiber, pulp, and fruit solids are initially suspended in the liquid. Over time, especially when kept chilled, heavier particles gradually settle at the bottom, while the lighter juice rises to the top.
In pasteurised, not fresh juices, this does not happen because of:
❌ Heat treatment, which alters or breaks down natural particles
❌ Added stabilizers or gums, which keep ingredients suspended
❌ Homogenization, which reduces particle size and ensures uniform consistency
Our juices are processed through a completely natural and safe process without any heating. The seperation of the juices indicate that the juices are truly fresh with vitamins and antioxidants still in place. As long as the cold chain is respected (0–7°C), quality and safety are guaranteed.
If you ever notice the pulp in juice floating on top rather than settling at the bottom, it’s usually a sign that (part of) the juice was frozen at some point. This process disrupts the natural structure of the juice and changes how particles behave in the liquid.
You will often see this in cheaper juices, where frozen products are used instead of freshly pressed juices. While still drinkable, it’s a clear indicator that the juice is not as fresh or carefully processed as truly fresh cold-pressed juices treated with HPP.
A quick shake is all that’s needed to bring everything back together!
